Here’s to you, Harvey Milk.

I saw Milk today. I’m wowed, sad, inspired, disheartened, filled with hope, scared, and proud. I’m 24 years old. I was not a part of the history the film depicts. I’m a part of the future it hoped to improve. And here I am, watching history repeat itself, and joining the ranks of others to fight for fairness and equality. I don’t want much, just to be free and happy, to live in peace, and to do what I can to make this world a better place.
